These biennial blooms seek forest nooks, thriving in mossy tree fall. With hardy roots, these flowers can make any of the smallest crevasses a sturdy home. While preferring to grow in blooms of one or two, you can find small clusters around lakes, as it is said they gather to see the moon’s reflection. Other myths say that their downturned heads turn up every night, as they only look down in the day, to track the moon under the earth.
